D8 - Recognize the team for their efforts
Now that the issue has been resolved, it is important to recognize the effort that the team put in to resolve the issue in a timely and efficient manner. This includes listing the team’s achievements, identifying any lessons learned from the process, and communicating to relevant parties in the organization what happened. Fill this information into the D8 - Recognition section.
Click Edit.
In the D8 - Recognition section, enter the following information.
- Team Achievement – The efforts and achievements of the team.
- Lessons Learned – Lessons learned from this 8D process to prevent further issues or improve upon the process.
- Distribution List – Click to select users who should be informed of this report.
Click Save.
From here, there are two options.
- Click Return if further information is required to be entered into the D7 – Prevent Reoccurrence section.
- Click Set Complete if the everything has been completed successfully. This moves the 8D report to the Completed state and locks it from further modifications.
Upon completion of the 8D Report, the system automatically sends a summary by e-mail to all assignees defined in section D1 and all team members selected in the Distribution List. This summary ensures that everyone is informed about the process completion and the outcome. Team members can also forward this e-mail to inform additional stakeholders.
The content of this summary is driven by the Advanced Print View named Summary. Administrators can adjust this view contents and format as described in Managing Scripts.
