Create a quality inspection plan
For users with Fusion connected sites, references to the 'Items' workspace should be the 'Components' workspace.
Open the Quality Inspection Plans workspace.
Click Create
.
In the Header section, fill in all fields as necessary. Required fields are marked with a red asterisk.
- In the Title field, enter a name for the QIP. This should clearly identify the QIP.
- In the Inspected Item field, select the item to be inspected with this QIP.
- (Optional) From the Inspection Type drop-down list, select the type of inspection this plan is for.
- (Optional) In the Notes field, enter any additional information about the QIP, such as its purpose, specific attachments to refer to, and so on.
In the Sampling Process section, fill in all fields as necessary. The values you enter in the Lot Size and AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) fields, along with the Inspection Level and Sampling Method, determine the values that appear in the Sample Size Code, Sample Size, and Maximum Failures fields. .(Optional) In the Lot Size field, enter a value for the lot size to sample.
(Optional) From the AQL drop-down list, select the acceptable quality limit.
(Optional) From the Inspection Level drop-down list, select the inspection level to use.
(Optional) From the Sampling Method drop-down list, select the sampling method to use.
Click Save. The Sample Size Code, Sample Size, and Maximum Failures fields are calculated and filled in.
In the Images & Photos section, attach any images that assist in how a quality inspection would be carried out. This might be useful when it’s easier to show how something works rather than write it out.
- (Optional) In each Image field, click Choose File to upload an image from your computer.
- (Optional) In each Remark field, enter additional information about the attached image.
At the top of the page, click Save.
The QIP is created, assigned an item number based on the rules set for items created in this workspace, and added to the list of QIPs in the Quality Inspection Plans workspace.
