Requirement validation
Requirements are used to define the target features, capabilities, and characteristics of a product. Once the product design is ready and initial prototypes are available, validation processes can be initiated to verify that requirements are met. These validations not only define responsibility and target dates, but also refer to the validation steps listing all requirement to be validated with the given test. A validation process may be used to test single or multiple requirements at the same time. In addition, a validation process can be repeated multiple times, with each process capturing its distinct list of tests and results.
Finally, on completion, the overall result can be captured, and a repetition of the test can be initiated easily if needed. All validation activities and outcomes also will be copied to the requirements so that the validation progression and latest outcomes can be tracked in the requirement specification structure directly.
