Manage Supplier Proposals
For users with Fusion connected sites, references to the 'Items' workspace should be the 'Components' workspace.
Suppliers can submit proposals in context of packages to share recommendations, report on issues and to request additional information. As proposals are managed in context of packages, they are aware of the stakeholders involved and will keep both informed by automatic mails. In addition, the related package may be set to status On Hold automatically, if the given proposal has given impact.
Section | Description |
---|---|
Summary | When submitting a proposal, the supplier fills in most of the information inside of the summary section. Besides the impacted item and package, the supplier also must indicate if the delivery is impacted by this proposal. Furthermore a title and proposed change are recommended to further indicate the reason for the proposal. A change reason as well as expected improvement are nice to have to further enhance the quality of the proposal. |
Images | The supplier can add images to the proposal and describe them with comments inside of this section. |
Submittal | The submittal section will be automatically filled out as soon as the supplier submits the proposal. |
Analysis | The analysis section is only visible to employees. Internal users will find information about the supplier and the initial package requestor to help with identifying the right people for the analysis. |
Technical Review & Related Processes | This section is also only visible to employees. In here a technician can be selected to request a technical review of the supplier proposal. Furthermore, other items that can be created throughout the proposal process will be linked here as well. These items are problem reports, change requests and the CAPA. |
Suppliers are only able to select from the records being shared with them when selecting the Impacted Item and Impacted Package thanks to the filter by ownership. However, as this is based on group ownership, all users of a given supplier can initiate proposals for all items and all packages that have been shared with the supplier company.
