Note:

For users with Fusion connected sites, references to the 'Items' workspace should be the 'Components' workspace.

The template provides standard roles for various level of permissions. Please assign the following roles to the given stakeholders. You may want to add a group 'Project Managers' to define the team of users managing the NPI projects and another group of 'Project Members' for the users contributing to projects.

Note: Granting proper access to Projects also requires permission on other workspaces like Project Phases and Project Tasks, which are referenced by a project.
Role Description Recommended for groups
People [R] Enables to access the list of available resources. This is required by all project managers and team leaders that have to assign tasks to the given resources. Additional restrictions may get applied as this workspace may hold sensitive information. Project Managers, Project Members, Executives
People [R/W] Manage all records in the People workspace with this role and assign them to the given teams. This role should be assigned to Administrators only. Administrators
Projects [R] Provides read-only access to all projects. This role is required by all project members. Project Members, Executives
Projects [R/W] This role should be assigned to all project managers as it enables to create and update projects within the system. Please note that in addition to this role, ownership filters get applied: modifications to projects are only possible for the given project’s owners and additional owners. Project Managers
Projects [Approval] Users with this role are able to move projects from the Project Approval state to the initial phase and with this kickoff the project. Executives
Project Phases [R] Provides read access to all Project Phases records and is recommended for all project members Project Members, Executives
Project Phases [R/W] This role should be assigned to all project managers as it enables to update the task planning within a given phase. Modifications to a phase are only possible for the phase owner and additional owners. Project Managers
Project Tasks [R/W] Provides permission to access and update Project Task details including Attachments, Efforts, Relationships and Status. Edit permission is also limited by owner, additional owners and task assignees. Project Managers, Project Members, Executives
Project Templates [R] Enables read access to all Project Templates. This permission is required for all project managers to create new projects. Project Managers
Project Templates [R/W] This role enables to manage project templates and should only be assigned to template administrators. Administrators, Project Managers (optional)
Teams [R] Access all teams’ information in read-only mode. This is required by all project managers which have to involve the given teams during project execution Project Members, Project Managers, Executives
Teams [R/W] Manage all records in the Teams workspace with this role. This role should be assigned to Administrators only. Administrators
