Task Attributes

The Task Definition section contains all information provided by the project manager and is read-only. The project number will be inherited to easily relate the task to the given project.

In the Status section, users will find automatic indicators:

• Days Remaining counts down the days before task is expected to be completed (based on the Target Completion Date in section Planning & Tracking)
• Flag indicates the priority of the task in graphical manner
• Progress displays the percentage complete, based on the assignee’s feedback
• Last Update displays the date when the last intermediate progress update was provided
• Last Comment displays the last assignee’s comment that was provided as part of the last status update

Various stakeholders may be involved in the task processing as defined in section Assignment.

• Team – Reference to the team being responsible for this task. This determines the Team Leader automatically and will filter the list of Assignees for members of the selected team
• Team Leader – is set by the selected team automatically; if the Assignee is not set, the Team Leader is responsible to select the right team member for this task
• Assignee – User who will perform the Work
• Additional Assignees – Additional Users who may contribute to perform the Work as well. These users inherit the same permission as the Assignee and can also set the task to complete
• Reviewer – Optional entry which enforces a review of the task outcomes before the task can be set to complete. This can be used to let the assignees of succeeding tasks review the outcomes they rely on as part of their task for a smooth handover.

Planning & Tracking provides information about planned dates and efforts and will also track actuals and compare them against plan values. All is read only and set automatically.

Section Workflow Comments History will log all comments that were provided along with workflow actions. This helps to better understand the communication flow between the various stakeholders.
