Product checklists

When users create a Product, they have to select a Process Template – which actually is a record in the Checklist Templates workspace. This selected template will be taken into account in order to automatically create a checklist for the Product if it reaches one of the milestone product status:

If there are no checks listed for the current status, there will be no checklist. However, if there are relevant checks, a new checklist will be created and linked to the product. All the checklists that get created for a product at various lifecycle states are shown in section Milestones & Checklists of the given Product. In the screenshot below, the product reached status 'Product Selection' and the selected Checklist Template named New Products requires certain checks before leaving this status 'Product Selection'. This is why the checklist 'MH-21-000001 – Product Selection' was created to validate required checks are met before proceeding to status 'Product Development'. This current checklist also is accessible by the button displayed in the Actions field in section Basic.

Further checklists for the following lifecycle states will also be listed in section Milestones & Checklists. They will automatically be shown in the related milestone’s column. This way, all checklists are accessible at any time. Only the currently pending checklist is accessible by the actions button.
