Select a Takeoff Package to Create Takeoff

Takeoff items can be created within a selected takeoff package.

To select a takeoff package to create takeoff:

1. Navigate to Takeoff from the left navigation in Preconstruction to open the Takeoff Packages list.

2. Select the package you want to work with from the Takeoff list.

   

3. You'll enter the viewer, a workspace with a collection of tools for performing takeoff. The name of the package you've selected is shown in the takeoff package drop-down in the viewer switcher at the top of the page.

   

   In the Sheets & Models panel in the viewer, you have access to all published sheets or models in your project that are available for takeoff.

When you perform takeoff on a sheet or model, takeoff items and the sheet or model used are associated with the selected package. Any takeoff items are included in the package’s Inventory.

Change Takeoff Package

You can change the takeoff package you are working in from the viewer.

To perform takeoff in a different package, select the package from the drop-down in the top navigation of the viewer, then start creating takeoff for that package.
