    Datums panel

    Datums are reference points on a part. Use them to display the locations of measured items relative to a specified point and orientation. For example, if you want to measure the position of Circle 2 relative to Circle 1, you can create a datum at the centre of Circle 1. When you select the datum as the Coordinate system for Circle 2, the measurements of Circle 2 are reported relative to Circle 1.
