PowerMill 2025 known issues

The known issues in PowerMill 2025.

Toolpath issues
Toolpaths calculated using the Automatic method of Collision Avoidance may include unsafe points even when the toolpath is marked as safe with a blue tick. These unsafe points would be detected by Toolpath Verification. PMILL-22031, PMILL-22278, PMILL-22337, PMILL-22341

Note: Fixed in PowerMill 2025.0.1 update.
We are investigating reports that toolpath edits that use the Edit Within Region to apply the Automatic method of Collision Avoidance may result in moves that are unsafe. At this time, it is unknown whether the underlying issues are specific to post-calculation edits or could occur within the original toolpath calculation. These unsafe moves would be detected by Toolpath Verification. PMILL-22098, PMILL-22281

Note: Fixed in PowerMill 2025.0.2 update.
Automatic collision checking is not applied correctly to multi-axis Flowline toolpaths calculated using Stepover Calculation set to Tool Tip. Although the toolpath has a blue safety status, it may contain colliding moves. Toolpath Verification can identify these moves. PMILL-22386

Note: Fixed in PowerMill 2025.0.2 update.
General issues
Context sensitive help is not working in the 2025.0.0 release. PMILL-22317

Note: Fixed in PowerMill 2025.0.1 update.
If PowerMill is installed through Custom Install from Autodesk Account in certain locales, the shortcut to launch PowerMill does not work correctly. This can be worked around by changing the shortcut to refer to Program Files rather than a localised variant of that. PMILL-22310

Note: Fixed in PowerMill 2025.0.1 update.
