Data Exchanges give you a way to share portions of your model with collaborators. They can use the Data Exchange to complete their work without the need to download the entire model. A Data Exchange is created from a 3D view in the model once it is published to Autodesk Docs. That exchange is then used by your collaborator. The Data Exchange contains the following data:
- Visible model geometry
- Element properties. All type and instance parameters will be accessible in the Data Exchange.
- Room data
- Levels
- Grids
Currently Data Exchanges are supported for workflows from Revit to Inventor (as illustrated in the video), and soon, for Revit to Power Automate. For additional information see: About Data Exchanges.
