Desktop Connector Error

An unknown error occurred.

Warning: Desktop Connector encountered an unknown error.

Issue: A number of issues can cause this error:

  • You are not logged into Autodesk Docs.
  • There is no network connection.
  • Autodesk Docs is not active.

Solution:

  • Click on the Desktop Connector application icon from the Hidden Icons section of the Windows toolbar. Select 'Sign In' if you're logged out of your Autodesk Account.
  • In your computer's network settings, verify that you're connected to your network.
  • Select the Autodesk Desktop Connector application on your computer if it's not running. Once you select the application, the icon will appear in your Hidden Icons toolbar.

    Note: If the Desktop Connector icon is not visible, you can launch the service by navigating to Start > Autodesk > Desktop Connector.
