Standard Design Lane Loaded (/ Load Element) Width Locations
Description
This sub-form is used to specify the lateral position of the Standard Design Lanes within the carriageway. It also allows the width to be varied from the standard 3.2m width of the Standards Australia AS 5100, Part 2 Bridge Design Code to the standard 3.0m width of the AUSTROADS '92 Bridge Design Code and NAASRA.
For a railway configuration the lateral position and gauge of the railway tracks can be defined here.

Offset
The value for offset depends upon whether the bridge is Austroads Urban or Rural, or NZTA 'Main Members' or 'Deck Slabs':
Austroads Rural, NZTA Main Members
The offset is the distance between the centre of the standard design lane and the centre of the marked traffic lane. The default offset is 0.0.
AS5100 Road, Austroads Urban, NAASRA and NZTA Deck Slabs
The offset is the distance from the nearside kerb to the nearside edge of the standard design lane. For a dual carriageway the offset is the distance from the farside kerb of the farmost notional lane to the farside edge of the standard design lane.
AS5100 Railway
The offset is the distance between the centre of the standard design lane and the centre of the rail track. The default offset is 0.0.
