Install the Content Center
Content Center is comprised of default libraries containing thousands of standard screws, bolts, nuts, washers, pins, and more, that can be inserted in assemblies. The Content Center can be installed with the Autodesk Inventor products.

Installation of autodesk-inventor-professional includes a subset of the Metric Mold Design Desktop Content library for tutorials and samples. The full Metric, Imperial and Meusburger Desktop Content libraries can be downloaded from Autodesk Inventor Services and Support. |
Installation of Inventor Content Center
Before you install, determine whether Desktop Content or Autodesk Vault server best suits your needs.
Install Desktop Content (Content Center libraries for a single computer)
- Installs with Autodesk Inventor from the Autodesk Inventor media.
- Requires no additional software.
- A complete solution designed for stand-alone users who do not work in a shared environment.
- Installs Content Center libraries directly on your local computer.
Install missing Content Center libraries
If you forgot to install DIN libraries during your original configuration:
- Directly from your installation media, copy the relevant IDZ file to the Content Center library location on your PC. The IDZ file is an archived (zipped) IDCL file.
Autodesk Vault server (Content Center libraries for a shared network environment)
- Can be downloaded from Autodesk Inventor Services and Support.
- Designed for users who run Autodesk Inventor on their local computers and work in a shared environment.
- Minimizes space requirements on the local computer.
- Provides the means to manage user accounts.
