Administration Enhancements (What's New in 2025.2)

Client Configuration
As an administrator, you can now centrally manage and deploy configuration settings, such as Vault options and Vault Copy Design options, on client machines. These are the default distributed options configured when users access their systems. Users can modify these distributed options locally to optimize their tasks and improve efficiency. - Available in Vault Professional and Vault Office only.
- You must have an "Administrator" or "Configuration Administrator" role to manage and deploy client configuration settings.
Distributed Options – Vault Client and Vault Copy Design
This is the initial view deployed when the user accesses the system. As an administrator, you can:
- Configure the Vault Options.
- Access the Client Configuration tab on the Global Settings dialog or access the Manage Distributed Options on the Vault Options dialog and Vault Copy Design dialog to:
- Distribute the Vault Options.
- Reset the Vault Options to the system default or distributed option.

User Management - Account Name Display
You can now add a column for “Account Name” in the User and Group Management dialog. An account can be tied to different “Account” types, such as Autodesk ID, Vault Account, and Windows Authentication, and may have different values for the account name of the respective account types.
Purge Enhancement
You can now enter an asterisk (*) in the Comments field of the Purge Wizard dialog for “Exclude versions where comment contains:”. Any file version which has a comment will be excluded from the purge.
