Join a hub
To start using Fusion, you need to be part of a hub, a collaborative space where you store project files. Your team's primary admin typically sets up a hub for an organization and invites others to join it. Or they can appoint someone else to do it. For more information about hub administration and roles, read Administer hubs.
There are three ways you can join a hub. If you're having trouble joining a hub, contact your hub administrator.
Join automatically
When you log in to Fusion using a private email domain that matches the domain of the hub owner, you join the hub automatically. When you open Fusion, you'll be taken to your hub and you can start working immediately.
Join from an email invite
An administrator can send you an email invitation to join a hub.
Click the link in the invitation email.
If you know you were invited to a hub, but don't see an invitation in your inbox, do the following:
- Check if the invitation is in your Spam or Junk email folder.
- Make sure your administrator used the right email address.
After clicking the email link, a page opens in your browser and one of two things happens:
- If you are new to Autodesk, you are asked to create an Autodesk account and sign in.
- If you already have an Autodesk account, you are asked to sign in, if you haven’t already done so.
Once signed in, the hub you were invited to opens in your default browser.
This browser interface is known as the Fusion web client, which you use to manage data and projects.
You'll also receive another email confirming that you have joined the hub. There might be a short transition time where Fusion indicates that you are in a trial period. This will stop when your administrator assigns you a license, at which point you will receive an email notifying you of this.
If you seem to be missing expected email messages, check to see if they are in your Junk email folder. If they are not, contact your administrator
Once you have an Autodesk account, you can start using Autodesk single-on (SSO). SSO is an authentication method that enables you to sign into multiple Autodesk products and services using your credentials. See the Autodesk Single Sign-on Setup Guide.
Join a hub when you launch Fusion for the first time
You can also simply open Fusion and follow the prompts to help you join a hub in your organization.
