Exercise 15: Measure Length and Volume

View the statistics for a road and tunnel.

To measure the length of a road

1. Click .
2. Click the beginning of the road segment to measure.
3. Click the end of the road segment to measure.

   The measurement displays on the road.

4. Press Escape to exit measurement mode.

To measure the volume of the terrain for a tunnel

1. Click .
2. Draw a box around the tunnel to measure. Press Enter to complete the box.

   The measurement window displays the tunnel length, its 2D and 3D area, and its volume cut, fill, and net.

3. Press Escape to close the measurement window.
