Library Transfer Guide dialog box

Transfers Autodesk Inventor libraries from the Desktop Content location to a server, or from a server to the Desktop Content location.

Access:

On the Projects dialog box, click Configure Content Center Libraries. On the Configure Libraries dialog box, click Library Transfer Guide.

Panel 1 - Select how you want to transfer user libraries

Selects the direction of the library transfer.

From Autodesk Vault Server to Inventor Desktop Content

Select this option if you have user libraries on a Vault server and you want to transfer them to the Desktop Content location.

From Inventor Desktop Content to Autodesk Vault Server

Select this option if you have user libraries in the Desktop Content location and you want to transfer them to a Vault server.

Panel 2 - Specify server log in information

If you are already logged into a Vault server, the current log-in data are automatically copied to the edit fields.

User Name

Insert or edit the login user name.

Password

Insert or edit the login password.

Server

Insert or edit the name of the server computer or the path.

Database

Insert or edit the name of the database.

Use Windows Authentication

Select to copy the User Name and Password from the Windows settings. Available only for the Product Stream server.

Panel 3 - Select libraries to transfer

Displays a list of libraries in the source and destination location.

Select libraries to transfer

Select libraries to transfer from the source location to the destination location.

Existing user libraries in the destination

Lists user libraries saved in the destination location. A library can be transferred only if no library with the same internal name or display name exists in the destination location.

Panel 4 - Summary

Displays the summary of the transfer process.

Libraries transferred/ libraries failed

Displays some libraries that were transferred successfully and that failed to transfer.

Click to open the Log file

Click the Hyperlink to review the details of the transfer process.

Note: The Log file is by default saved in the Documents and Settings\[USERID]\Local Settings\Temp folder.
