Sets the global document settings and application settings for all tube and pipe routes and runs within the tube and pipe assembly.

Access:

In the Model browser, activate the top assembly or master runs assembly. Right-click Tube & Pipe Runs and select Tube & Pipe Setting.

Document Settings

Defer all Tube & Pipe Updates

Determines whether the entire tube and pipe runs assembly automatically updates to changes.

Use R9 Bill of Materials

Determines which bill of materials (BOM) to use in parts list of the drawing. It particularly applies to R9 or earlier migration.

  • If the Use R9 Bill of Materials check box is selected, the stock number property has the same value as the part number property. It ensures you can get the correct tube and pipe drawings using R9 BOM. It is the default setting when R9 or earlier tube and pipe assemblies migrate to the current version of Autodesk Inventor.
  • If the Use R9 Bill of Materials check box is cleared, raw material descriptions for all conduit parts are stored in the stock number property using the new BOM mechanism. It is the default setting when new tube and pipe assemblies are created in the current version. The part number property must be unique or empty.

Application Settings

Prompt for conduit file names

Determines whether conduit part files prompt to rename in progress of populating routes, saving files, and reusing tube and pipe components.

Note: Changes to this setting take effect across sessions immediately.
