Learn how to use the thin client to search and retrieve files and file information.
Note: Vault Workgroup requires a Vault Office license to use the thin client. Vault Professional provides read-only access through the thin client by default. A Vault Office license is required for read-write access.
Learn About the Project Explorer
Project Explorer displays the files stored in the vault. Files are contained in folders. Projects are special folders that group files together from across multiple folders. For example, a project may contain the design files from one folder, an Excel spreadsheet from another folder, and a Word file with assembly instructions from yet another folder. Project folders are created using the Autodesk Vault client. The thin client displays projects and their contents, but cannot be used to create projects.
