Learn About the Item Master
The item master displays the items in the vault. Items refer to what a company manages, assembles, sells and manufactures. An item is identified by its item number or part number. Items typically represent:
- Parts
- Assemblies
- Consumable goods such as fluids, lubricants, and artwork
- Bills of Material
Item Details
Click an item to view detailed information about the item. The Item Details page displays a summary of the item, the full set of system and user-defined properties, as well as the Bill of Materials, history, where used data, and attachments for the item. The properties displayed in the views can be configured independently of each other.

History Tab
Select the History tab to view the revision history of the item.
- Select a property from the Sort By drop-down to change the sort order. You can sort by any of the properties displayed in the History tab
- Click Configure Properties to select which properties are displayed in the History tab
- By default, only the latest version of the file is displayed. Click Show All Versions to display a complete list of all revisions and versions for the file.
Note: If Released file versions is turned on in the thin client settings, then non-released versions of the file are displayed in black, unlinked text.

Attachments Tab
- Click Attachments to view the files attached to the current item.
- Click the file name to view the details for the attachment.
