Get Latest Item or File Properties in SolidWorks

You can map Autodesk Vault item or file properties to CAD data in Autodesk Vault.

If you edit the mapped item properties, you can update the CAD data using the Update feature in SolidWorks to keep the data and assigned items synchronized.

You must check out files before getting the latest properties from assigned items.

1. On the SolidWorks toolbar, click Update Properties.

   The Get Latest Properties dialog box lists the files that can be updated.

2. Deselect any files you do not want to update.
3. Select whether children of the selected files are also updated.
4. Click OK.

The Vault CAD properties that are mapped to Vault items are updated to reflect any changes made in Vault.
