To add a material style

You can add a texture or colour swatch to a style catalogue as a material style. Materials are tiled over the surface of the object to which they're applied.

  1. Click .
  2. Click the Material tab on the left side of the Style Palette.
  3. From the style catalogue list, select the catalogue for the new style.
  4. In the Style Editing area (at the bottom of the palette), click (Add a New Style to the Current Catalogue Above).
  5. Indicate whether the material will be a solid colour or use a texture map.

For colours, enter the hexadecimal value representing the colour, or click Browse and navigate to the file representing the colour.

The supported colour format is <xRRGGBB(AA)> or <#RRGGBB(AA)> with R, G, B and A being the hexadecimal representations of the red, green, blue and alpha channels of the colour. The definition of the alpha channel is optional. It defaults to FF, which is fully opaque.

  6. Indicate the width and height if a texture map is used.
  7. Set the Texture Co-ordinate Anchor settings (TexCoord Anchor), if desired.

For more information regarding these settings, refer to Edit Styles.

  8. When you're finished, click OK in the Style Editor.

The style thumbnail appears in the catalogue. Click in the name area to rename it.
