Show Materials in Viewport As

These commands manage how viewports display materials.

The visible result of these options depends on which visual style you are using: See Nitrous visual styles.

When a legacy viewport drivers (Direct3D or OpenGL) is active, the options on this submenu are Standard Display versus Hardware Display.

Note: These commands do not apply to XRef materials, including materials from XRef objects and XRef scenes.

Interface

Enable Transparency
When on, transparent materials are displayed as transparent. Default=on.

Shaded Materials without Maps
Uses Phong shading but does not show maps.
Shaded Materials with Maps
Uses Phong shading and displays Diffuse Color and Opacity maps.
Realistic Materials without Maps
Uses realistic shading but does not show maps.
Realistic Materials with Maps
Uses realistic shading and displays maps.
