Cost efficiency is a combination of the following contributing elements:
- Mold cost
- Material cost
- Production cost
A weighted combination of these elements result in the overall cost efficiency rating.
The greater the indicator bar, the more suitable the design.
Important: The Costing efficiency indicator is based on a single cavity mold. The proper assessment of a multi-cavity mold should be done with specialized software such as Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Adviser.

When an Alert icon 
is incorporated in the Cost efficiency indicator, it means that there are aspects of the design that are adversely impacting on this result.
To view how the elements that contribute to the cost efficiency affect the results, click either Alerts or Information from the panel. A tabbed dialog appears.
- Alert tab
- Issues highlighted by the Alert icon in the indicator are specified. Click on a listed element for further information.
Information tab - The elements that constitute the Cost Efficency indicator are listed. The result for each element is graded according to the parameters that are set in the Autodesk Simulation DFM Rule Configuration dialog. Click on an element and a dialog will appear that outlines the relevant values for this model.
