Add Culverts

There are two ways to add culverts to your design:

• Use Add Culverts to add culverts wherever streams cross the selected design road.
• Add culverts manually, one at a time. This method is useful for adding a culvert where a watershed analysis does not return a watershed for a portion of a road.

Review and Modify a Culvert Solution

Review and modify culvert solutions individually. Select a culvert to display its asset card and analysis data in the model.

1. Note the flow value derived from the hydrology method selected on the watershed asset card.
2. Examine culvert analysis data in the model.
3. Change culvert position or length using transform gizmos in the model. Changes affect length, entrance and exit invert elevation, and barrel skew angle. For more information, see To modify culvert size and placement.
4. Change culvert solution attributes on the asset card. Changes affect the number of barrels, shape, material, Manning's n, and Inlet configuration. For more information, see To modify the culvert solution.
5. Re-check culvert analysis information.
