With Autodesk InfraWorks 360 you can share models, proposals, and scenario presentations among users in a design group.
Users in a design group work on local copies of a cloud-published model. User share changes in the cloud by synchronizing. Synchronizing generates an updated version when a group member sends changes. See About working in InfraWorks 360 user design groups and To synchronize models proposals and scenarios.
To become a member of a design group you accept an invitation to join from an InfraWorks 360 account administrator (Admin). See To respond to an invitation to join a design group. Or, you create an InfraWorks 360_admin account yourself and then create a new design group.
Group Roles | Tasks |
---|---|
Admin | Create groups, add users to groups, and assign roles to members. An Admin can also assign the role of Admin to another user. Groups can have more than one Admin. Admins are also Publishers. |
Publisher | Publish models to the cloud for group members to share. |
Reader | Download, view, and work on models but cannot upload changes for syncing. |
For more information, see: About user roles in design groups.
With the InfraWorks 360 iPad app or InfraWorks 360 web viewer, you can extend collaboration beyond the design team. These tools also enable team members to view ongoing work when they do not have access to their desktop. Stakeholders who are not InfraWorks 360 users can view and comment on a scenario presentation using Design Feed. A scenario is a view-and-comment-only presentation package showing all or part of a model or proposal. A scenario may include animations, storyboards, and other advanced presentation features. See Create and Share Presentations, To view scenarios on an iPad or on the web and Overview of InfraWorks Mobile App.
