To change the height or elevation of objects

To change the height of buildings, or scale of trees and city furniture

  1. Click in the Utility Bar to enter Edit Mode.
  2. Select one or more buildings, trees, or pieces of city furniture to display the transform gizmos.
    Note: See To select features.
  3. Place your cursor on the Height gizmo.
  4. Click and drag the cursor upward.
  5. Watch the readout and release the mouse button when the desired height is reached.

    For buildings, the height is increased or decreased while the footprint remains unchanged. For trees and city furniture, the object is scaled proportionately to the height you wanted.

    Note: You can also enter a desired height into the dialog box that appears when the Height/Elevation gizmo is selected.

To change the height or elevation of roads, railways, and coverages

  1. With Edit Mode enabled, select a road, railway, or coverage.
  2. Place your cursor on the Elevation gizmo above the Control Point to change.
  3. Click and drag the cursor upward or downward.
  4. Watch the readout and release the mouse button when the desired elevation is reached.

    The control point is moved along the Z axis and the terrain under the selected object is also adjusted so there are no gaps.

    Note: You can also enter a desired elevation into the dialog box that appears when the Elevation gizmo is selected.
