Select components with preselection highlighting

When the Modeling Toolkit is activated, you can highlight components before you actually select them.

To select components with preselection highlighting

  1. Select an object in your scene.
  2. In the Modeling Toolkit window, click a selection mode icon. See Select components with the Modeling Toolkit selection modes.
  3. Move your cursor across your object.
    As your cursor moves close to a component, a colored highlight appears on the closest component.
    Note: Disable Highlight backfaces in the Modeling Toolkit window to highlight only those components that are facing the camera.
