To Map One Source Feature Class or Attribute to Multiple Targets in the Design

When mapping feature classes and attributes in the source data to feature classes and attributes in the design drawing, you can specify that one feature class or attribute maps to multiple feature classes or attributes in the design drawing. For example, you might want to map the Underground Structure feature class in the source to the Pad, Vault, and Manhole feature classes in the design drawing.

1. In the Mapping Configurations dialog box, click the feature class or attribute of interest in the source column.
2. Click Actions menuDuplicate This Feature Class Mapping or Duplicate This Attribute Mapping depending on whether you are mapping feature classes or attributes.
3. For the first feature class or attribute in the source, select the desired target feature class or attribute in the design drawing to create the mapping.
4. For subsequent mappings, do either of the following:
   • For the second feature class in the source, select the second desired target feature class in the design drawing or click Actions menuDefine Extract Condition to define an expression.
   • For attribute mappings, you must use the Expression Builder to create subsequent mappings. Click Actions menuDefine Attribute Assignment MethodExpressionEdit Extract Assignment Expression.
