You can define the geometry of a spiral staircase.
To begin defining stairs, open the Spiral staircase dialog from:
- Menu: Steel > Parametric structures > Stairs spiral
- Ribbon: ASD - Model > Parametric structures > Stairs spiral
- Toolbar: Parametric structures > Stairs spiral
.
In the drawing area, click to specify an insertion point on the lower level and a point on the upper level.
Specify basic dimensions:
- Length (staircase height) - this is calculated based on the distance between defined points P1 and P2. You can shift the points P1 and/or P2 in relation to the defined upper and/or lower level of stairs.
- Specify how far the profile of a construction tube will extend above the upper level.
- The staircase axis in the vertical plane coincides with the indicated point P1. However, it is possible to translate the staircase horizontally in both directions.
For Direction, specify whether the stairs coiling to the Right or the Left.
Specify Construction tube parameters:
- Profiles available on the selection list are those defined in the Profile List dialog. To add a profile to the list, click
. The Profile list dialog displays, where you can select a profile.
- Profile families available on the selection list are those defined in the Family Manager dialog. To add a family to the list (delete a family or modify its properties), click
. The Family manager dialog displays, where you can select a family.
