Corridor Optimisation (preview) and
Profile Optimisation produce multiple designs that can be compared for cost and environmental impact.
You can submit multiple optimisation jobs, each using a different combination of parameters, which include:
Optimisation jobs are processed in the cloud and return existing ground profiles along the centerline of the road. The process detects when the profile crosses other roads and designs intersections. An algorithm detects water crossings and computes the cost of placing bridges. Earthwork costs are calculated based on the width of the road and the transition zone width defined in the road style; the wider the transition zone width, the more accurate the earthwork volume estimates.

Each optimisation job returns a PDF report that lists details about the centerline profile, cross sections and construction and earthwork costs. You can import the optimised road into your model as a proposal and then compare various proposals to determine which is the best solution for your project.
Profile optimisation consumes cloud credits. When an optimisation job is submitted, the server calculates how many cloud credits are required to complete the job. The cost of a profile optimisation job is determined by the length of the road being optimised.
We'll notify you by email when each optimisation job is ready. You can also see the status of each job on the

Job Monitor.
