To Create Objects from a Traverse in the COGO Editor

To create a polyline from a traverse

  1. In the Toolspace, on the Toolbox tab, expand Civil 3D 2016 Productivity Pack 1 Coordinate Geometry. Double-click Launch Coordinate Geometry Editor to display the COGO Editor.
  2. Ensure that the Entry tab is active.
  3. Create a traverse or open an existing traverse.
  4. Click . A polyline is created from the traverse. Polyline vertices are placed at the beginning and end of each traverse side.

To create COGO points from a traverse

You can create COGO points at the beginning and end of each traverse side. These COGO points are dynamic to the traverse. If you edit data in the COGO Editor so that the traverse is changed, the COGO points that are derived from the traverse will move accordingly.

  4. Click . COGO points are created at the beginning and end of each traverse side. If there is an existing COGO point that is used in the traverse at the beginning or end of a traverse side, an additional COGO point is not added at that location.
Note: Points that are created are listed in the COGO Point column on the Entry tab of the COGO Editor.
