Factory options establish default settings applicable to your factory design layouts. Some settings apply at the application level, others at the document level.
- Click on the AutoCAD application drop-down menu
, and then click Options. - Type options in the command line.
Factory options appear on three tabs: Factory Annotations, Factory, and Factory Assets.
Factory Annotations Tab
Define the text font, height, and position for asset tags and descriptors.

Factory Tab
Specify the preferred method for selecting factory objects, settings for document-based attributes, and various parameters related to:
| Transportation Defaults | Includes properties for transportation type, travel speed, cost rate, load time, unload time, directionality, and flow type. |
| Operation Defaults | Includes properties for operation type, processing time, and setup time. |
| Station Defaults | Includes properties for setup cost rate, processing cost rate, uptime percentage, and energy consumption. |
| Shift Defaults | Includes properties for hours per shift and number of shifts. |
| Job Defaults | Includes properties for desired production rate, part quantity, and batch size. |

Factory Assets Tab
Enable and specify the location for cloud-based factory assets, indicate where assets are accessed and stored, and define other asset-related preferences.
