Use the Construction and Earthwork Costs Settings panel to inform your optimization jobs.
The optimization process calculates construction and earthworks costs. The resulting quantity and costs are included in the optimization report.
Construction and earthwork costs are measured by:
- Cost Item, an individual unit of work that has an associated price.
- Unit Price, the cost of a unit of work. The unit price for a given cost item varies depending on project or locale.
- Unit, the unit of measurement in which a cost item is quantified for a project. Construction and earthwork units of measurement cannot be changed, but you can toggle between metric and imperial measurement systems in Application Options.
You can set and review unit prices for earthwork and construction activities and materials. The values you set will be used to calculate your optimization results.
- On the Corridor Optimization (preview) or Profile Optimization panel, under Advanced Settings Construction & Earthwork Cost, click Construction & Earthwork Cost.
- On the Construction & Earthwork Costs Settings panel, edit the values in the Unit Price column to suit the project.
