You can select individual features, or multiple features. Make feature classes selectable to select features within the desired feature classes. Make feature classes unselectable if you do not wish to select them.

Select features within a feature class using an expression |
Right-click the feature class or subset in Model Explorer and click Select By Filter. In the Create Attribute Filter dialog box, create an expression to evaluate properties or to specify a location. Click OK to create the selection set. Note: If you create a property-based expression, only the properties for the current feature class are available.

To zoom to the current selection |
Select the feature(s) to display. Click or press Alt + Z. |
To automatically zoom to the extents of selection sets |
Click and select Automatic Zoom To Selection from the View tab. As long as this option is active, it remains in effect. |
Make features unselectable |
In the Model Explorer, toggle the padlock next to the desired feature class until it displays for that feature class. Note: Features in a model are unselectable when the is displayed next to the corresponding feature class in the Model Explorer.
