To publish a local model to the Autodesk 360 cloud

As an Admin or Publisher in a collaboration group, you can publish a local (un-shared) model to the Autodesk 360 cloud to enable collaboration. Use the Publish/Sync tool and specify the collaboration group.

  1. Sign in to InfraWorks 360 and open the model.

Optionally: Check Manage Online Models for space in your account to accommodate the model. For more information, see To view model information.

  2. Click to open the Publish Model dialog box.

If the model has been published, the Synchronize Model panel opens.

  3. Select the group that will share this model.

  4. Optionally, enter Publishing Notes.
  5. Click Publish.
  6. Once publication completes, the model's mini-icon changes from , local, to , cloud.

Note: When you publish a local model to the cloud, InfraWorks 360 moves the model cache files from the local directory to the default cloud model cache location (or the location you set in Application Options.)

Advanced Tips

Publishing can take a long time depending on the amount of data involved. Large raster or point cloud data sources can slow publishing. During a long publishing operation, the model's tile might appear on InfraWorks 360 Home, but it will display as 0 bytes. If a group member tries to download or delete the model before publishing is complete, an error message indicates the model is locked. A model can also be locked during a long download or sync operation. Model locking does not block a group member from synchronizing non-raster-based changes.
