Animation » Curve Editor
Use the Curve Editor to create and edit animations. The animation curve of an object indicates when and where it should be within the scene’s coordinate system. It enables you to control curvature and acceleration during animation.
Create an animation curve
- Select an object in the Scenegraph.
The list on the right side of the Curve Editor displays entries for all channels for which keys can be set.
- Drag the vertical line in the Curve Editor to select the moment when you want the object to reach a certain position.
If it helps, open the Timeline for more accurate frame navigation. ()
- Right-click an object or a selection in the channel list.
- Select Key All / Key Selected to set a key for the related channels.
Tip: Press F to scale and center curves to fit the view.
- Drag the vertical slider (or Timeline slider) to select a different frame number, then rekey the selected properties for that frame.
Curves are generated so that there is a smooth transition between the two frames where you set keys.
Edit an animation curve
- In the Curve Editor, click the node you want to change.
- Change the frame position of the key point, or drag the curve handles to edit the curvature between two keys.
