Right Angle Course Workflow

The workflow varies, depending on the current mode. Determine the current mode by the kind of input the program prompts you for.

If Base Line Mode is active (the default), you are prompted to select the two points that specify the base line. Then the dialog box opens and you can continue adding the measured sections.

If Point Mode is active, you are prompted to select the base point. Then the dialog box opens and you can continue with either a point or a measured section.

Sample workflow for base line mode:

1. In Infrastructure Application Extension, in the Construction toolbar, click Right Angle Course.
2. In the map, select the first point.
3. Select the second point.

   The construction dialog box opens.

4. In the construction dialog box, click Add Sections.
5. In the map, enter the measured value.
6. Enter as many measured sections as necessary. Press Esc to return to the construction dialog box.

   Use next to the Northing column to identify existing points.

7. Select a feature class and click Save to store the line in the database.
