Launching an analysis

There are various ways to launch an analysis. The most appropriate one will depend upon your setup.

Windows OS

Launch individual analyses on a Windows OS from the Home tab of the ribbon, or from the Study Tasks pane. Make sure you have completed all the tasks in the Study Tasks pane before you start the analysis.
Note: Double click on each task in the Study Tasks pane to open the appropriate tool or dialog needed to complete that task.
  • Analysis Sequence
  • Material
  • Injection Location
  • Process Settings

An analysis can also be launched from the command line using a utility called runstudy, which is installed with the software. For full details on this utility, including a parameter to specify the directory where the temporary files of the analysis are created, enter runstudy without any parameters at the command prompt.

Linux OS

If your solvers are installed on a Linux OS, you can launch your analyses from the command line on Linux.
