We create a new design scenario for the transient stress (direct integration) analysis This action preserves the setup and results of the natural frequency – modal analysis along with any other analyses you might have set up and solved in other design scenarios.
Tip: Modal results are NOT required as a prerequisite to running a transient stress (direct integration) analysis. However, they are required for a transient stress (modal superposition) analysis. The direct integration method is recommended when shock-type loads are applied to the structure.
- If you are continuing from a prior Truss Tower analysis and are still in the Results environment, click the
FEA Editor tab at the top of the browser (tree view).
- Right-click the Analysis Type heading in the browser and select Set Current Analysis Type
Linear
Transient Stress (Direct Integration).
- Click Yes in the dialog box to create a new design scenario, rather than changing the analysis type for the current one.
