Select the molding process

In this task, you select the molding process and the analysis sequence, steps necessary to run a two-shot overmolding analysis.

1. Click (Start & Learn tab > Launch panel > New Project).
2. Type in Two-shot overmolding tutorial for the Project Name.
3. Click OK.
4. Click (Home tab > Import panel > Import).
5. Select the Files of type drop-down list.
6. Select Study files (*.sdy).
7. Navigate to the Tutorial that was downloaded from the first page.
8. Click the file TankCoverwSeal_&_Runners.sdy and click Open.
9. Click (Home tab > Molding Process Setup panel > Thermoplastics Injection Molding) and select Thermoplastics Overmolding from the drop-down menu.
10. Click (Home tab > Molding Process Setup panel > Analysis Sequence).
11. Select Fill + Pack + Overmolding Fill + Overmolding Pack + Warp, then click OK.
