When you select a fabrication part in the Revit drawing area, the Modify | Fabrication Parts tab provides options for modifying a run of fabrication parts
Edit Part: opens the
Edit Part dialog where you can edit parameters for dimensions and connectors.
Attach to Structure: attaches the selected hanger to a structural element. Structural categories include floor, roof, structure framing (such as beam or truss), stairs, and slabs.
Optimize Lengths: optimizes the straight lengths of generic ductwork by adding, removing, or modifying lengths of straight segments.
Rotate 45 Degrees / Rotate 90 Degrees / Rotate 180 Degrees: rotates the selected fitting around its connector in 45, 90, or 180 degree increments.
Toggle Connector: modifies which open connector is attached to the cursor during placement.
Route and Fill: provides one or more solutions to fill a gap in a fabrication run.
Show Service: enables the service and group in the MEP Fabrication Parts palette for the selected part, so you can easily place additional parts. See
Show the Service for a Fabrication Part.
When the MEP Fabrication Part palette is displaying, you can also use the Multi-Point Routing tool to automatically add parts to an existing run or part by clicking points in the model. See Use the Multi-Point Routing Tool.
