To squeeze node labels

Use the Global Merge tool to eliminate unused node labels, and renumber the nodes and elements sequentially, without altering the mesh.

1. Click (Mesh tab > Mesh Repair panel > Global Merge).
2. In the Global Merge dialog, ensure that Squeeze entity labels is selected.
   Note: To squeeze the entity labels without changing other aspects of the mesh, deselect other options in the dialog. These options are selected by default.
3. Click Apply.

   Unused node labels are eliminated and nodes are numbered sequentially.
