Tutorial options

In this tutorial, you have the option to continue with the FEM Cooling Analysis Quick Start Tutorial model. You need to change the Analysis sequence to Cool(FEM)+Fill+Pack+Warp. Running this analysis can take in excess of 1 hours.

Alternatively you can download a completed analysis and review the warpage results.

To use your model:

1. Change the Analysis Sequence to Cool(FEM)+Fill+Pack+Warp
2. Ensure:
   • Material - Generic ABS:Generic Shrinkage Characterised Material
   • Coolant inlet temperature - 40C
   • Melt Temperature - 230C
   • Mold-open time - 5 sec
   • Injection+Packing+Cooling time - 15 sec
   • Mold temperature options - Averaged within cycle

   You need to select Isolate cause of warpage to understand the analysis further.

3. Click (Home tab > Molding Process Setup tab > Process Settings).
4. Click Advanced Options and Edit from the Solver parameters panel.
5. Select the Warp Analysis tab and select Isolate cause of warpage from the Warpage analysis type panel
6. Click (Home tab > Analysis > Analyze) to run the analysis locally.
