To analyse parts using shading

Use the toolbar buttons on the right of the PowerShape Utility user interface to analyse parts using shading.

• To show surface angles and quality, click . Click the button again to hide the shading. Set options for analysis shading when you choose the Orient tool on the Main toolbar.
• To show undercuts, click . Click the button again to hide the shading. Set the tolerance for undercut shading in the Options dialog.
• To compare the original imported net shape with the edited near-net shape, click . Additional material is shaded green. Click the button again to hide the shading.
• To highlight any build failures that may be caused by the recoater, click . Click the button again to hide the shading. This button is available only in Preview mode.
