Use volumetric maps to adjust the strength of support structures
Using a density map, a set of volumetric data, generated supports can be lightened or reinforced where and as needed. With it, you can adjust supports in their strength, and do so selectively, instead of having to overhaul your support scripts.
Note: Density maps are introduced as technology preview. To enable this feature, choose
and activate
Support Structures - Simulation Feedback Loop.
The data used to modify density maps may be specified manually, but more practically comes from simulation results created by
Autodesk® Netfabb® Local Simulation.
