During installation, you can specify a top level path for
Revit content. The sub folders for content are not configurable.
These locations correspond to settings on the File Locations tab of the Options dialog in
Revit, and settings in the DirectoriesXXX section of Revit.ini. Users can change these default locations after installation, if desired.
The Content path is available as follows:
- During a stand-alone installation, on the Install > Configure Installation page
- When creating a deployment, on the Create Deployment > Configure page (not available for
Revit LT)
To see the Configurable option, click the arrow under Autodesk Revit in the installation dialog.
By default, the top level path for content installation is Revit: C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT
2021
The additional non-configurable sub-folder paths are as follows:
- IES Content - <Content Path>\IES\
- Library Content - <Content Path>\Libraries\
- Template Content - <Content Path>\Templates\
- Family Templates - <Content Path>\Family Templates\
- Lookup Tables - <Content Path>\Lookup Tables\
Note: When creating a deployment, if you specify a custom Revit.ini file in the Customize Application Settings section, and the file defines paths in the DirectoriesXXX section, then the Configurable option is disabled.
