Note: This topic is for Roombook users only.
Roombook displays detailed handling messages.
- If the room quantity calculation is not performed, check whether there are spaces in the drawing.
- If some values are reported as 0, check the drawing units. If no decimals are set, then it may occur that for example the area of small subareas is displayed as 0 (instead of 0.10). Define the number of decimals (precision).
- If values are shown with different decimals, check the drawing units. AutoCAD allows to define different decimals for length, area, and volume. Set the number of decimals to uniform values (like three or two).
- If the exporting Roombook fails, check if the MS Excel templates (*.xlt or *.xltx) are located in the right directory, or if MS Excel is correctly installed.
- If no MS Excel template is offered for the export, make sure that the files are located in the right directory. By default, the *.xlt templates are located in directory \Roombook Templates\International or \VOB of the default AutoCAD Template path. All *.xlt or *.xltx files (MS Excel templates), which are located in this directory, are offered.
- If the export form is opened but no values are written in it, make sure that spaces or zones were specified for evaluation in the Calculate Room Quantities dialog box.
- If the export form is not opened and the export is not done, make sure that no cells or columns or tabs were removed or renamed, when you made individual adjustments to the MS Excel templates.
