To Configure Text Settings for Parts Lists (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

  1. At the Command prompt, enter AMOPTIONS.
  2. In the Options dialog box, click the AM:Standards tab.
  3. In the Standard Elements list, double-click Parts List. The BOM Settings dialog box appears.
  4. In the Parts List tab, click .
  5. To change the text height of part list column captions, in the Text section, below the Header row, from the Height list, select the text height.
    Note: To acquire the base height setting from the master text settings, select the text height marked “By NameOfCurrentDraftingStandard.
  6. To change the text height of the data rows, in the Text section, below the Data row, from the Height list, select the text height.
  7. To change the text color of part list column captions, in the Text section, below the Header row, from the Color list, select the color.
  8. To change the text color of the data rows, in the Text section, below the Data row, from the Color list, select the color.
  9. To specify how text works with columns:
    1. To resize text to fit the column width, in the Text section, in the appropriate Control list, select Fit.
    2. To wrap text into multiple lines, in the Text section, in the appropriate Control list, select Wrap.
  10. Click OK until all dialog boxes close.
Note: If the current drafting standard is a custom standard, you can select a text style for part list text.
